Entusiastic audiences and critical acclaim for the We have put the two of the best together

Concerts of Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and Oliver Dragojević delighted  the audiences on 28 and 30 May, being at the same time critically acclaimed only to confirm the concerts slogan  - We have put the two of the best together! Equally, the review headlines pointed out: A rare and unique pleasure without electrical and electronic devices (br, Večernji list), Oliver like wine – the older the better (Nenad Medelić, Slobodna Dalmacija), Newly arranged Oliver's hits (Mirta Špoljarić, Vjesnik)

Vjesnik: Attractive Rachlin's performance

In her review of the concert which Zagreb Philharmonic held on Friday, 14th of May 2010, which was conducted by Julian Rachlin – at the same time being also the soloist on the viola and on the violin, the music critic Mirta Špoljarić wrote, among other things, in Vjesnik: „Rachlin has, of course, been brilliant in his forte  - namely, on the instruments in his hands and it is correct to establish that he is probably the best violinist of his generation. This is not proved only by brilliant, virtuoso moments, but by exceptional musicality at all levels of interpretation which can be rarely seen with similar musicians. Under his fingers everything seems incredibly simple, and how much it really isn't, we are convinced only when we hear someone who cannot accomplish the same.“

Večernji list: Thundering as well as subtle homage to people who shall not be forgotten

Večernji list: Gromoglasna i suptilna posveta ljudima koje se neće zaboravitiIn her review published in Večernji list music critic Maja Stanetti writes: „The entire huge ensemble was led by the conductor Ivan Repušić, evidently out of his own homage to his professor Vjekoslav Šutej. As if the Ivan Goran Kovačić Choir was not enough, in their goodwill, the members of the National Croatian Theatre Choir as well as the Music Academy Choir members joined them threathening to shake the hall walls in Dies irae. Yet, the Choir leader Luka Vukšić knew how to give directions that there was not to be any loudness respectful of the piece as well as of the occasion…We should primarily take our hats off to the two female soloists – to Adela Golac Rilović and to Martina Gojčeta Silić.“

Vjesnik: High Level of Performing Skill

Vjesnik: Visoka sviračka vještinaIn her review published in Vjesnik music critic Mirta Špoljarić pointed out that: „ Lana Genc demonstrated one more time that she skilfully handles Brkanović' musical language which demands a high level of performing skill as well as virtuosity. From this point as well as from the lyrical point which permeates the second movement, she proved exceptionally fit for the task.“

The critic goes on to say: „ By Barber's piece the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra indirectly introduced the crown of the evening concert – Eine Alpensinfonie by Richard Strauss. This demanding and very long piece is a true challenge to orchestra's concentration  and focusing – which the members of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra c justified in full, under suggestive, spirited and precise leadership of Stefan Lano.
